The Hell of Wellness.
Are you entering “the high-touch era”? If you don’t know what that means, you’re probably not. But apparently it’s the evolution of health, wellness and self-care – kind of a 2.0 version. Of course, it’s from LA. And it means being even more self-obsessed than any human should be with one’s appearance and, supposedly, one’s health.
But I am calling it now: “high-touch” is actually a form of narcissistic personality disorder sold to women as high-level grooming. This goes way beyond looking after yourself (which for normal people might include working out, slapping on sun screen, avoiding sugar and at most the odd “tweakment”). It is a full-time job, which I imagine only those who don’t actually have to work for a living can afford. Think I am exaggerating?
