Happy Easter Everyone!

Am currently writing a longer piece but for today I just wanted to tell you that the most springy, beautiful thing I have done lately is to go see David Hockney’s ‘Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)’ at the Lightroom just behind Kings Cross. It’s not cheap but for an hour or so you can sit in a world of just pure gorgeousness. Colour. Everywhere.

He wants you to see what he can see and what he can see is beautiful. Orange and purple in a rainy Yorkshire landscape where many would see only grey. He paints every day and is full of defiant joy. I adore Hockney and it reminded me of a little piece I wrote about smoking.
