Go See the Pyramids !

I have always wanted to see the Pyramids and recently had one of those “if not now, when?” moments and booked a flight to Cairo.

I had no plan beyond the Pyramids but luckily a friend lives there and had offered to show me around. I wouldn’t bother him the first day, I thought. I am a strong, independent woman and surely I can sort it all out.

Indeed I felt quite smug as I chatted to the driver who picked me up from the airport. He would take me to Giza the next day, which seemed ideal as I didn’t want to join a group tour.
